Dimitris Papadopoulos in his undergraduate and postgraduate studies dealt with pedagogy, social exclusion, film education/education and media education/literacy. He holds a PhD from the School of film (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). In his dissertation he explored contemporary developments in the field of Film Pedagogy/Film Education. He proposes the connection of film theory, cultural studies and critical pedagogy as the basis of a theoretical model of Film Pedagogy. She teaches issues of Film Pedagogy, Film Education/Pedagogy at the Department of Film Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and directing (1) at the Open Hellenic University in the framework of the programme Studies in Film Writing, Practice and Research. She has taught issues of the relationship between Culture, Art and Education at the Department of Creative Media and Industries at the University of Thessaly (2020-2023). He has scientific publications and articles and has participated in numerous conferences. He is the author of two books (one collective). He has directed short films and documentaries as well as three feature documentaries with participations and awards in numerous international festivals. He is scientifically responsible and one of the founding members of the “Regional Network of Film Education” in which 10 institutions participate. He has organized numerous film education workshops for students and teachers. A number of short films have been produced in the framework of the workshops.
